GLOBALSYS embarks with the round the world record owner François Gabart aboard the SVR-LAZARTIGUE trimaran.
The wireless technology which GLOBALSYS initially developped for aeronautics, is proving to be also perfectly suited to the most demanding marine environments.
For the preparation of his SVR-LAZARTIGUE multihull racing boat for the « Route du Rhum » transoceanic sailing race and for the crewed races of the coming seasons, the skipper François Gabart (who holds the solo round the world record) and his team have opted for the high-performance AIRLINK 3085 IA wireless communication solution from GLOBALSYS.
Its superior noise reduction and audio clarity, as well as its hands-free and audio conferencing functionalities make AIRLINK 3085 IA from GLOBALSYS a relevant response to the requirement for precision in maneuvers and synchronization of team members which are vital for the performance of the boat in the race and the safety of the crew.
The test phases were successfully completed and AIRLINK 3085 IA took place on board during the trimaran’s various training sessions.
“The simplicity of use and the clarity of the audio communications of the AIRLINK 3085 IA immediately won me over. I see it as a way to further improve the level of safety and increase the comfort of the sailors, which is essential in the race”, confirms François Gabart.
“We are really proud to have convinced François Gabart and the SVR-LAZARTIGUE trimaran team to opt for AIRLINK 3085 IA and to be able to contribute to their success. Initially developed for use on board helicopters, AIRLINK 3085 IA proves its adaptation to the marine environment and to the most demanding uses of offshore racing,” says Rémi Doutriaux, CEO of GLOBALSYS.
